We have a great opportunity to work with Chris and Kayla from the Lansing area. We had been trying to schedule something for some time, and things fell together last minute to go out to a local orchard on a beautiful fall afternoon. The weather was crisp, and there were some apples in the trees nearby which made the air smell wonderful. It was everything we could ask for in fall. Chris brought along his guitar and serenaded Kayla in the grass (with us looking on, of course). Thanks to Chris and Kayla for trekking through the orchard with us to get some beautiful shots.

I was really excited about our engagement session with Bob & Becky, both because they're a really fun couple (who doesn't like taking pictures of people in love?) and also because the sky was overcast with some seriously sweet moody clouds. We had already rescheduled once due to similarly moody-looking clouds and their sporatic rain, but this day was perfect, if not a little cold. We found a location that had tons of variety and started shooting- I love how the clouds add a bit of drama to the pictures, and Bob and Becky were willing to try anything we threw at them, including wooden numbers and some string. Thanks so much guys! We had a blast!-Kara

I had the opportunity to take some beautiful photos of a great couple. Derrek and Jessica have been dating for the past few years, and have overcome the long distance obstacle. Derrek lives here in West Michigan, and Jess is from Australia. They love to have a great time, as you can see in their pictures.

I was privileged enough to be able to shoot Jamie and Stu's wedding just a few Saturdays ago. The weather was beautiful, (although I'm sure Stu thought it a tad hot), and I loved both the stately grandeur of the church and beautiful backdrop of downtown Grand Rapids where the wedding and reception took place. Thanks for letting me be part of your day, Jamie and Stu!

Our family went to see the Chihuly Exhibit at Frederick Meijer Gardens this past week, and enjoyed the weather as well as the beautiful artwork. If you have a chance to see it, you absolutely should! It's on display through September 30th. Here are a few of our favorite photos from being there.
